On the January 11th of 2018, medical school held the 2017 summary conference in the conference room of B2 five building, and nearly 50 people attended the conference. The meeting was presided over by He Dongqing, the Secretary of the party's general branch. Lian Weijie, the Secretary of the Party committee of the computer college and Chen Cuifeng, the vice minister of the Organizing Committee of the Party committee attended the meeting.
First of all, Li Jicheng, the executive vice president, made a summary of his college work. The year of 2017 is destined to be a memorable year for the medicine school of the South China University of Technology School. In January, Guangdong General Hospital was officially approved as the affiliated South China University of Technology and became the first affiliated hospital of South China University of Technology. In February, Guangzhou No.1 People's Hospital was officially listed as the Second Affiliated Hospital of South China University of Technology. In March, South China University of Technology and the Tianhe District people's Government of Guangzhou built the foundation of Tianhe Hospital affiliated to South China University of Technology. In June, South China University of Technology Medical School entered the 2017 China's best medical college comprehensive list, ranking the forty-fifth in China. In November, South China University of Technology clinical medicine first entered the basic scientific index database (ESI) top 1% in the world, and became the ninth subject field of the first 1% ranks of the South China University of Technology in the South China University of Technology. The medical college has made remarkable progress in medical and engeering combination and establishment of a characteristic modern medical school. The medical school has high standard to develop the construction of the subject, the training of talents, the innovation of science and technology, the education of talents, the internationalization and the construction of infrastructure. The members of the college leaders summarized and reviewed the work that they take chargr in, one by one, and put forward some urgent problems.
