On the afternoon of June 15, 2023, the School of Environment and Energy, South China University of Technology held a faculty meeting in B4-215 at the University Town Campus. The meeting was held to convey and implement the spirit of the Ministry of Education's progress in faculty moral and ethical education and the launch of moral and ethical education, as well as the requirements outlined in the Ministry of Education's notice on concentrated faculty moral and ethical education. The meeting focused on studying the speeches of Secretary Zhang Xichun and President Zhang Liqun on the progress of moral and ethical education in the school's faculty development and deployment.

During the meeting, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, He Jianhua, and Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice Dean, Professor Zhu Nengwu, as well as Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Secretary, Wu Honghui, delivered themed speeches.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhu Nengwu, the Executive Vice Dean of the School.

The meeting emphasized that each faculty member should implement the spirit of the speeches delivered by Secretary Zhang Xichun and President Zhang Liqun during the symposium on the progress of moral and ethical education in the school's faculty development and deployment. Faculty members should enhance their political awareness, effectively strengthen their sense of responsibility and mission, strengthen the ideological and political guidance for teaching staffs, and promote the deepening and solidification of moral and ethical education.

Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, He Jianhua, conveyed the spirit of the school's meeting.

Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Secretary, Wu Honghui, provided examples and warnings on moral and ethical education.

The attending teachers expressed that as university educators, they need to adhere to the original intention of cultivating students with high moral character, always remembering their responsibility to educate for the Party and the nation. They should adhere to Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and implement the party's educational policies. They should also abide by laws and regulations, fulfill their teaching responsibilities in accordance with the law, always spread excellent culture, practice core socialist values, sincerely care for students, and be good mentors and friends to them. They must adhere to integrity and self-discipline and actively contribute to the society.
