On the afternoon of June 7th, 2023, a delegation from the South China University of Technology (SCUT) Great Bay Area Alumni Development Association, consisting of Secretary-General Huang Yancong, Chairman of Guangdong Xingbangni Technology Co., Ltd. Huang Qipei, and Sales Director of Guangdong Keshun Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd. Song Guoyao, visited our school for an exchange visit. Secretary of the College Party Committee, He Jianhua, and the Executive Vice President, Zhu Nengwu, held a discussion with the visiting alumni in B4-102.

During the discussion, Secretary-General Huang Yancong introduced firstly the development process and service objectives of the SCUT Great Bay Area Alumni Development Association. He expressed that since its establishment, the association has been committed to build bridges between alumni and their alma mater, and serving the development of alumni companies and the construction of the alma mater, striving to contribute the strength of SCUT alumni in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area. The purpose of this visit is also to promote further cooperation between the school and the association in building a communication platform for alumni in the environmental industry and setting up a professional committee in the school. Subsequently, Executive Vice President Zhu Nengwu introduced the progress of alumni work in the school and the planning and vision for strengthening alumni work in the next stage. Finally, both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on specific issues related to strengthening communication and building a platform for alumni communication.

With the rapid development of the national environmental protection cause, SCUT alumni engaged in the ecological and environmental industry have grown significantly in scales. The school has envisioned the establishment of the SCUT Environmental Industry Alumni Association and will continuously strengthen communication and connection with alumni. The visit of the delegation from the SCUT Great Bay Area Alumni Development Association will promote the smooth development of alumni work in our school. Both sides expressed their intention to further deepen communication and develop feasible cooperation plans after the meeting.
