On the morning of February 21st, Zhang Qian, Vice Chairman of the Political Consultative Conference of Shizuishan City, and fellow colleagues, accompanied by Qin Yexia, Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Institute, visited the School. Professor Chen Yan, Vice President of the School, Professor Shi Lin, faculty representative, and Professor Wu Junliang, Executive Deputy Director of VOCs National Engineering Laboratory, had a discussion and exchange with the visitors in Room 201 of the Environment Building. 

During the conversation, Vice President Chen Yan first introduced the discipline development, faculty construction, talent cultivation, scientific research and social service of the School. Then Professor Shi Lin, Professor Wu Junliang and Dr. Li Fei introduced the existing tailings recycling technology, VOCs control and management technology, and the technical achievements of hazard-free treatment and recycling of non-ferrous metal smelting slag respectively. Zhang Qian expressed his hope to sort out the technologies in tailings utilization, odor treatment, desulfurization gypsum recycling and other aspects, an effort to carry out cooperation, promote project implementation, and accelerate the high-quality development of Shizuishan City as soon as possible. 

After the discussion, Zhang Qian et al. visited the National Engineering Laboratory of VOCs Pollution Control Technology and Equipment and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Solid Waste Pollution Control and Recycling.
