On March 7^th,2017, vicepresident QiuXueqing, deputy director ChenYongqiang and ZhengXiaojuan of the South Campus Administrative Committee came to School of Environment and Energy for guidance.Dean YeDaiqi, deputy dean Jiang Liu and ZhuNengwu, deputy secretaryWuYaohua and some teachers of the schoolparticipated in the meeting.

During the meeting, dean YeDaiqi reported theintroduction and training of talents, setting of undergraduate major, cultivation of postgraduates, etc. He pointed out that School of Environment and Energy already hadthree winners of Guangdong Province Natural Science Funds for ** Scholar and oneoutstanding teacher, who passed the competitive examination of above-mentioned funds a few days ago, which is being publicized. All these youths are the training candidatesof Outstanding Youth Science Foundation. Moreover, last year, two teachers were selected as the participants of High-level talents recruiting, which powerfully enriched the national level talent reserve forour school. School of Environment and Energyattaches much importance to undergraduate education, but currently the teachers for Water Supply and Drainage Engineering are in short supply, for the reason that the college put great effort into introduction of talents majored in Water Supply and Drainage Engineering. As a research institute, there are less than 80 full-time teachers, but in 2016 the school research funds broke through one hundred million, which was the achievement of joint efforts of all teachers and students. Now the schoolstill encountersproblems such astheshortage of laboratories and enrollment ofgraduates, etc.

Professor WeiChaohai, Professor ZhengJunyu, Professor LinZhang, Professor YinHua, as well as the new teachers, Professor DengHong, Associate ProfessorLuo Yun, YanZhicheng, WangLong, LiangYuzhen, and so on made comments and suggestions on the school's recruitment system, experimental teaching reform, enrollment, livelihood, etc. Vice President QiuXueqing listened carefully to the report and the questions raised by the teachers, then answered detailedly, and simultaneously promised that relevant problems will be solvedlater.

At last, Qiu Xueqing made a conclusion. He indicated thatSchool of Environment and Energyhas a good momentum of development, which is inseparable from the efforts of everyone. The schoolinjects fresh faculty to further promote the continuous development of the college. The school should equip indomitable spirit, for the development of Guangdong economic. He ultimately hoped that the work of School of Environment and Energywill further step into a new levelthis year.

At last, Vice President Xueqing Qiu made concluding speech. He thought, SESE has a good momentum of development, which is inseparable from the efforts of everyone. The college injects fresh faculty to further promote the continuous development of the college. College development should equip 'indomitable spirit', based on the Guangdong economic development services. He ultimately hoped that the SESE this year will work on a new level.
