Team Young Pioneers of the SEC students won the first prize in the South China Region and the third prize in the national finals in the 3rd Internet Finance Application Innovation Competition. The competition is charged by Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, hosted by Internet Innovation Union (IIU), and hosted by Tsinghua University, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Tsinghua University-ArxanChain Research Center.
The competition attracted more than 700 teams and nearly 3,000 people. All entries in the competition are based on blockchain technology, covering a wide range of areas including public welfare, finance, education, health care, social media, games, energy, travel, and supply chain. After careful preparation, Team Young Pioneers stood out in the South China Region and entered the national finals with other 19 teams.
In the national finals on December 8, the competition adopted “roadshow + defense”, and participants presented merits of their projects to the guests and judges. Team Young Pioneers were fully prepared before the competition and had many rehearsals. In the end, the team won the third prize in the national finals, the team's instructor, Cai Wenxue, won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
About the Competition
The 3rd Internet Finance Application Innovation Competition is a scitech-oriented national competition, which is charged by Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, hosted by Internet Innovation Union (IIU), and hosted by Tsinghua University, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Tsinghua University-ArxanChain Research Center. “Internet innovation application based on blockchain is one of the three directions of this competition, referred to as HEI Blockchain Competition.
The competition is open to all college students (including postgraduate, undergraduate and vocational students) in the nation. It aims to stimulate the enthusiasm of the students in the blockchain technological innovation, improve the research and development ability of students, and guide the blockchain technological research and application innovation, promoting the application of blockchain achievements and contributing to Internet innovation applications in China.
The competition is divided into three stages: preliminary, regional semifinals, and national finals. The scope of the competition covers from blockchain to public welfare, finance, education, health care, social media, games, energy, travel, supply chain and other areas. The development platform of this competition is the first professional exchange and application platform of blockchain technology in China, which is developed and built by ArxanChain Research Center.
Six major regions: Northeast China, North China, East China, Central China, South China and the West China.
